Support the 3rd Annual Popeye Toy Run in Long Beach, CA
In a collaborative effort with the non-profit organization Beach City Foundation Inc., various motorcycle clubs from Long Beach & surrounding communities plan to bring "holiday cheer" to the children of the Martin Luther King Center (MLK) with the joy of GIVING for the 3rd annual toy run on December 11th, 2010. Donation Request -
We are asking for the following donations:
Toys: unwrapped unisex for ages 4 to 16 years.
Money: Checks should be made out to Beach City Foundation, Inc.
or Ann Matulin, Just Us Secretary.
or Donate via credit card (safety and securely) through Paypal below
Other: Food items e.g. single packaged chips, soda, water. Paper/Plastic utensils.
All contributions are deductible under section 501c (3), sec. 170.
MLK Center is the multicultural headquarters for several children focused organizations, including Boys & Girl Club, YMCA, Weed & Seed, and Child Development Center.
These organizations share the worthwhile mission of helping children overcome adversity and at-risk conditions by assisting them in obtaining skills while discovering their inner potential for success.
The 3rd Annual Popeye Toy Run give-away has been a feature of the community. Each year, the event grows as does the need for more sponsors and donations. Last year we provided over 600 children
with toys, meals and fun activities. With our current economy, this year we expect to see more families and we need your help to continue this "Living the Dream" community initiative.
